This project is a four-story, 77,345 sq. ft. building. It includes two large classrooms, collaborative spaces (multipurpose use rooms), common areas and tutoring rooms. The PSAC will bring student centers under one roof. The facilities within the Pennington Student Achievement Center (PSAC) include the Writing Center, Math Center, Tutoring Center, Nevada Career Studio, Advising Center, Student Veterans Affairs, Disabilities Resource Center, Counseling Services, Trio & McNair Scholars, reflection and meditation rooms. The facility is aimed towards the encouragement of interaction among the students, staff, and faculty. PK Electrical provided the electrical design including lighting, power, fire alarm, telecom, security (access control and CCTV), audio-visual and wireless access system throughout the building. Construction costs were $30,500,000.
